Learn the Language of Your New Country ...

Not the Jargon of International Moving!

When you relocate your family or business outside the borders of the United States, you want to get everything over there safely and swiftly, not to learn to deal with "inland transportation," "air and maritime tariffs," "import regulations," "conference" vs. "non-conference" lines, "custom clearance," "consular regulations."

You won't have to learn any of this, because Allied Van Lines handles over 10,000 international moves a year. Allied prides itself in maintaining "Worldwide Quality and Service Standards" intended to assure our customers peace of mind at such an unsettled time in their lives.

What does this mean?

First, the Moving Consultant that is assigned to your move will make an on-site survey of your possessions that are to be moved. He or she will work with you to ensure that the preparation for moving is thorough and organized. That helps ensure that everything later goes smoothly. In most cases, a fixed price can be guaranteed at this point.

RYAN cuts through all the jargon and red tape for you.

If you are paying for your own move, we will present you a single bill for all services, including overseas delivery. This will occur immediately after your goods are containerized and ready to move forward. To avoid delays, this bill should be paid by a bank cashier's check. If your employer is paying for your move, we can set up credit arrangements in most cases.

Your transit insurance coverage protects your goods until final delivery is accomplished and you are comfortably settled in your new home overseas.

We take the extra step of wrapping every piece of furniture separately before we remove it from your origin house. They are then packed in waterproof steel containers that are locked and sealed until final delivery overseas.

Destination Agents

Finally, as with domestic USA moves, we assign a Destination Agent to every overseas move. We will give you their name, address, and phone number so you can contact them if this becomes necessary. All appointed agents must maintain RYAN's high performance standards.

If any of your belongings must remain stateside, RYAN can store them in secure, climate-controlled vaults. If you discover later that you need something, we can ship it to you. If not, when you come home to America, the items you left behind will be as fresh and new as the day they left your house.
